Jason Wilson, MS
Founder and principal scientist

Jason Wilson is a natural products scientist and science educator with an extensive background in applied analytical chemistry, microbiology, and laboratory quality assurance. He earned a B.A. from the University of Mississippi and an M.S. from Southern Oregon University in Environmental Education. While in graduate school he worked as a botanist for the Bureau of Land Management and since then has spent the past decade working in natural products research laboratories in nearly every position from laboratory bench technician to chief quality officer and director of operations for a publicly traded multi-lab organization. With unique expertise in Cannabis and cannabinoid science, he is the author of the textbook, Curious About Cannabis: A Scientific Introduction to a Controversial Plant and is the producer and host of The Curious About Cannabis Podcast and the Isn't Life Curious? podcast.
Jason is extremely curious and passionate about sharing knowledge with others and enjoys helping others see the natural world through new perspectives. When not in the lab he is usually in the field exploring or collecting specimens to examine in the lab, usually with the help of his wife and daughter. Jason is a certified Audubon Naturalist and Permaculture Designer, having studied permaculture under a direct student of Bill Mollison. He is also an avid technologist, writer, musician, numismatist, and ordained dudist priest with a rug that really ties the room together.
